Week 1

I made it safely to the MTC! The day I got here was insane! I was rushed through several places to get paper work. After I went through that I got my language study books and then was taken to my class where my teacher immediately started speaking italian to me. It was very intense and very hard. I did finally get used to it. I am learning the language really fast. The spanish is really helping me. Posso parlare in italiano. Noi abbiamo bisogno di parlare in italiano durante la lezione. Its pretty crazy! I am officialy Anziano Collins! I started out having 2 companions. My original companion was from Brazil but he was unable to get a visa and could not come. Yesterday one of my companions was sent home. It was pretty sad, its weird to think we all bonded so quickly! Now it is Anziano Thomas e io. He is from meza Arizona and he likes to play basketball so he's good. the food here messes with you so warn future missionaries of it. Other than the busy schedule and waking up early I have been doing really well. I have been up before opr by 6:30 everyday! Its been crazy. All those who get this email should write me and get my friends to write me and my companion. The reason being is that in our district there is 4 sorellle-sisters and 2 anziani. There is Sorella Clark, Sorella Smedley, Sorella forbbes, and Sorella comollo-she is Italian! And the sorelle get TONS OF MAIL AND PACKAGES! Sorella Smedly got 3 packages in one day as well as 3 letters! It is nice because they do share with us. I did get mail from my sister and muffins from Amber and Katelyn so that was nice. I love P-days. After I finish with my email and lunch I will have 4 hours to do what I want, which means I will nap! We share a room with another threesome companionship. There is Anziano Peck, Anziano Jones, and Anziano Culler. The first two anziani are going to indianapolis and anziano culler is going to columbus. they are great guys. There are only 16 total Italian missionaries in the whole MTC, All but three are going to Milano mission. We all have gotten to be really good friends because we are almost with each other 24 hours a day. Its pretty crazy to think that I am missionary now. Its definatley a BIG change of pace in my life. We are constantly studying and going to classes. Gym time is my favorite. Its only 50 minutes long though, I wish they would make it longer. I got to see Ben from school as well some other friends from school so that was really nice! When I reported the MTC had the most missionaries report at one time in a long time. There were over 700 missionaries that came in! Its been pretty crowded but its fun. I hope all is well with everyone. Let me know how you are all doing!
sincerto,
anziano collins
